Benalmádena 22/02/2012- The mayor of Benalmádena, Javier Ram; the councilwoman of Tourism, Incarnation Courts; and the councilman of Sports, Juan Waves, they have presided this morning the presentation of the I City Golf Tournament of Benalmádena in the club of golf Torrequebrada. Also they have participated in the presentation the general deputy director of Institutional Relations of Adorea-SAR, Augustine Lopesino; the director of the club of golf Torrequebrada, Francisco Ruíz Martin; and the delegate in Andalusia of Golf Spain, Alberto Fernández.

The mayor has initiated his intervention expressing the gratitude of the Corporation that represents to the club of golf Torrequebrada "by yielding his installations for the celebration of this event. He is a club of reference to national level, besides being the first club of golf that contemplate the tourists upon arriving at Malaga by his proximity to the City Hall".

"This tournament will mark a before and a later in the celebration of this type of events in Benalmádena, and supposes the verification of our bets on to unite the tourism with the sport", has valued the mayor Javier Ram, that has praised the management of the councilmen of Tourism and Sport, that has enabled the fast organization of the contest.

The councilwoman of Tourism has underlined the bet of the government team by adding tourism and sport, "a very attractive sector that interests us that take Benalmádena as destiny of reference". Juan Waves has repeated the gratitudes to the golf course and the sponsors, has noticeable "the tireless work of our councilwoman of Tourism by combining tourism and sport, being the first councilman that has bet on the golf as resource to promote Benalmádena". The delegate of Andalusia of Golf Spain, Alberto Fernández, has offered the technical details of the competition: there will be three categories, and a maximum of 100 players recorded, "and already we have more than the half of the available plazas reserved". Inside the three categories, a he is destined players with a high handicap (11,4), the Medal, in which the participants should finish the pits with the number of blows set. "The other two categories are within reach of players of any level, with a modality of shot, that will permit to all the players to leave at the same time", has aimed.
